Movies That Matter is presented by New University Television (NUTV) at the University of Calgary.
Since 2002, NUTV has delivered a monthly series of documentary film premieres, allowing viewers to delve into some important issues relevant in our society today. Following each screening there is a discussion, featuring the director of the film itself and/or someone from the community at large known for their expertise or insightful views on the film subject.
Screenings are the last Wednesday of the month during the academic year in the Gallery Hall of the Taylor Family Digital Library.
All proceeds from the screenings support the students in need through the Campus Food Bank program.
